Fathers

By Rev. Dean Beaty    5/20/08

When it comes to love and care,

Mothers get the lionís share.

Poor ole dadís left in the cold.

Few will note heís growing old.

While we played and went to school,

He became a working fool.

In seeing that the bills were paid,

His own pleasures were delayed.

Now itís time to honor dad,

As our own Sir Galahad.

Our knight in armor shining bright,

Who seldom sought his own limelight.

For mom thereís flowers and much ado.

For dad a thoughtful card will do.

But donít forget dad on his day.

For your good fortune he paved the way.
