GIVE ME A VISION

“Without a vision the people perish” Proverbs. 29:18

 

Give me a vision, oh Father Most High.

Show me the love that caused Jesus to die.

Love so amazing, so boundless and strong.

May it be always the theme of my song.

 

Give me a vision, oh Father above.

Help me to understand Calvary love.

Love that caused Jesus to die for my sin.

Love that gave all, that our souls He might win.

 

Give me a vision, oh Father I pray.

Show me the love that caused Jesus to lay-

Aside His glory to come to the earth,

Shedding His blood to give mankind new birth.

 

Give me a vision, oh Father again.

Show me the souls of men, helpless in sin.

Lost without hope, until Jesus they see.

Help me to show them of God’s love so free.

 

Give me a vision, oh Father reply.

Without a vision that people will die.

Help me to take them the truth of Thy word.

Until the news of Thy love has been heard.
