Ephesians 5:19 & Psalm 101:1

By Rev. Dean Beaty   4/23/08

Let us spite the Devil, singing praises to our King.

He is thus defeated when he hears believers sing.

God’s word is there to follow in every precious thing.

There we are instructed to praise God when we sing.

This truth we must follow if the Savior is adored.

Read it in Ephesians, “Making melody to the Lord.”

David was a singer, and with joy his praises ring

He put it clear and simple, “Unto Thee, O Lord. I sing.”

So if you have the notion to spite this wily foe,

Lift your voice in singing.  And let your volume grow.

Singing is infectious; it acts just like the flu.

When you sing out strongly, others sing out too.
