TO FINISH WELL

Oh, help me Lord life’s race to run,

That from Thy lips, I hear “well done.”

And though there be times that I fell.

Oh, help me Lord to finish well.

 

Upon Thy plough my hand I place.

Lord help me keep a steady pace.

Until I reach where Thou doest dwell.

Please help me Lord to finish well.

 

Some forsake.  This world they choose.

Thy reward, I dare not loose.

May I, Thy love and grace forth tell.

So help me Lord to finish well.

 

A victor’s crown there yet shall be.

For those who fight on faithfully.

All pride and self help me to quell.

Thus help me Lord to finish well.
