WHAT WILL I
DO THAT WILL LAST?
By Rev. Dean
Beaty 9/4/05
Just what will I
do in life that will last?
What will men say
when my life is past?
Or do I just live
for this present day,
While storing up
things that will just pass away?
The things of
this earth, though given by God,
Will all turn to
dust, below the green sod.
There’s only one
thing that won’t pass away,
The souls of the
ones, who pass by your way.
Give them the
message of God’s love for men.
Of Jesus, God’s
son who died for their sin.
He that winneth
souls will prove to be wise,
And evermore
shine as stars in the skies.
The Lord calls
each one, to start where they are.
Your Jerusalem is
not very far.
For your mission
field is not far way.
But made up of
those you meet every day.
