BY HIS LIGHT I WALKED
THROUGH THE DARKNESS
By Rev. Dean Beaty 7/24/05
No child of God is free from sorrow.
The tears of saints could fill the
sea.
But we have hope beyond tomorrow.
A home with Christ though out
eternity.
The trials of life that cross out
pathway,
Could fill our hearts with fear and
dread.
“For though He slay me, yet will
I trust Him.”
He will sustain me with His daily
bread.
So many joys in heaven are waiting.
All of them ours by God’s great grace.
When ‘round the throne, His praises we
sing.
From heart o’er flowing, when we see
His face.
(Chorus)
When in the night I would have stumbled,
For Satan’s snares were in my way.
When by His light, I walked through darkness.
Till by God’s grace, I see the day.
