HELP  ME  NOT  TO  BE  ASHAMED

Help me not to be ashamed when e’er Thy name I hear.

Help me Lord to stand up tall with strength and not with fear.

Help me speak with clarity, the love that Thou hast shown.

So that men may turn to Thee as I make Thy name known.

 

Help me not to be ashamed of Christ who died for me.

Help me Lord to point the way to life at Calvary.

Help me Lord in faithfulness to always constant be.

By example and by word, that Christ be seen in me.

 

Help me not to be ashamed of Thy testimony Lord,

But standing with my brother, in love and one accord.

Thank you Lord, you weren’t ashamed to hang upon the tree,

To cleanse my soul and prepare me to live eternally.

 

Help me not to be ashamed of the gospel Thou hast given.

To teach the truth of Jesus, that from the grave is risen.

Help me not to be ashamed for soon Thou wilt appear.

Looking with anticipation as the Day of Christ draws near.
