LIGHT  OF  THE  WORLD

Matthew 5:14

“Ye are the light of the world,” Jesus said.

It’s up to us if the gospel is spread.

Though Jesus left, we’re not all alone.

He intercedes beside God’s great throne.

 

There’s the Holy Spirit who resides within.

Teaching God’s Word a warning ‘gainst sin.

With all of this help we surely should glow.

So the whole world, our Savior might know.

 

Don’t put you’re light in a pot with a lid.

“A city set on a hill cannot be hid.”

“Let my light so shine that others may see.”

“Christ is alive and living through me.”
