All that I love rests beneath this sod

And half of my soul has gone to God.

Now I am left with a severed heart.

It cannot be whole while we’re apart.

But God has promised a home above,

And there once more united in love.

It won’t be long now, so wait for me.

Together again eternally.

That I live alone with just half a heart.

While you were still here your love made me whole.

Though we had two hearts we had but only one soul.

And now that I’ve left this old veil of sin.

You’re back in my arms, together again.
